Grants for Creative Youth Development Through the Arts in Pennsylvania (USA)
GrantID: 75284
Grant Funding Amount Low: Open
Deadline: October 23, 2025
Grant Amount High: Open
Summary
This fund supports out‑of‑school arts education initiatives for children ages 5 to 18. It is designed to expand access to high‑quality, hands‑on arts learning outside regular school hours, including during summer or other breaks. Especially interested in proposals led or co‑designed by young people themselves, with cultural relevance and youth leadership built in.
The funding pool available is about $3 million. While there is no fixed floor or ceiling on requests, proposals asking for less than $450,000 over a three‑year period tend to be more competitive. The idea is to proportion funding to the anticipated impact of the project.
Eligible organizations include nonprofits or community arts groups (or coalitions of such groups), particularly those proposing projects that serve underserved youth populations. While this grant does not appear to be aimed at individual artists or large for‑profit entities, it does favor groups that can demonstrate experience in arts education, youth engagement, and partnerships. Collaborative models are welcome, where different organizations bring complementary strengths.
The purpose of the funds is to support staffing (e.g. teaching artists), materials, equipment, program logistics, site costs, outreach, and youth‑driven project elements. Grant recipients may also receive support in evaluation, learning, and capacity building.
In short, this is an opportunity for arts organizations rooted in or serving the Philadelphia area to build or strengthen dynamic, youth‑centered, out‑of‑school arts programming. The goal is to cultivate creative expression, social‑emotional development, leadership, and connection through the arts among young people who might otherwise lack such access.
If you are located in Pennsylvania and working in the area of Children & Childcare, this funding opportunity may be a good fit. For more relevant grant options that support your work and priorities, visit The Grant Portal and use the Search Grant tool to find opportunities.
